    VO2max estimate norms

Estimated cardiorespiratory fitness, with or without an exercise test.

Two published estimating equations are used. Resting-pulse method: VO2max ≈ 15.3 × (maximum HR ÷ resting HR), with maximum HR taken as 220 − age. Cooper method: VO2max ≈ (distance in metres − 504.9) ÷ 44.73.
