    Grip Strength

A simple proxy for total-body strength and a robust predictor of healthspan.

    Grip Strength — Lifestyle

Grip strength correlates with overall muscle mass, neuromuscular health, and even cognitive aging. Each 5 kg drop in grip strength is associated with measurably higher cardiovascular and all-cause mortality risk. Men typically aim for >40 kg per hand, women >27 kg, with values declining ~1% per year after 50 unless actively trained.
