    Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)

Repeated overnight airway collapse — common, widely undiagnosed, and a major driver of cardiovascular risk.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) — Sleep

OSA fragments sleep and causes intermittent oxygen desaturation, raising blood pressure, , , and atrial fibrillation risk. An estimated 80% of moderate-to-severe cases are undiagnosed, and it is not limited to people with obesity — narrow airways and jaw structure matter. Snoring, witnessed pauses, unrefreshing sleep, morning headaches, or nocturia warrant a home sleep test. Treatment (CPAP, mandibular advancement, weight and positional therapy) typically improves daytime function and metabolic markers within weeks.
